Great -add me to the growing list My printer was working perfectly 2 days ago -now, nothing  Running Windows 8.1 on the HP Envy, and connecting to an Epson Artisan printer. Seeing that this is a new computer and is used for work, to say I'm unimressed is an understatement. And by the looks of things, it may have something to do with  recent update ???

I am having the same issue since upgrading to Windows 10. I can see the printer on my network and it is connected to the network, but when I run the install software it does not find the printer on the network. It is the same issue as has been reported by everyone else in this thread.

Im having the same issue, i uninstalled all hp programs i then installed the driver aquired from hp website for the 5530, it worked great for some time after a restart of both laptop and printer it will not print.

windows defender is off

i can ping the printer

i can access the printer from the ip address

printer shows in devices and printers

printer shows as offline then online in word

printer looses connectivity then will not see my router - this took several refreshes on the printers tiuch screen to see the router again.

these printers are broken please stop reading the stuff from a screen and get the upper level tech support to sort this out, as there is an inherent problem with them or the software hp has written.

i am using win10 x64

Same issue here.  In my case, we have more than 10 devices which all successfully printed (MAC and Windows devices) up until 3 or 4 month ago.  Devices would randomly stop being able to see the printer and never could connect again.  At present all of my device are unable to print to the Envy.  I am a senior IT exec and have had several of my analysts investigate this issue. They cannot find any problems with my network. After reading this thread I'm astonished that HP cannot or will not resolve a chronic failure.

We pay a lot of money for your products and throwing hands up in the air is unacceptable!  If I accepted failure, the $50B dollar company who's IT/IS systems, assets, and personnel I manage, would have me on the street so fast it would make your head spin.

FIX THIS!

I've posted a reply to what appears to be a similar issue here (in case the link dies, it's another issue in the HP forums entitled " HP Officejet 6500 Wireless has IP address but cannot Ping or Web access").

Seems to be a common, longstanding, and persisting issue with HP wireless printers. Probably a common mass-purchased wireless module or low-level implementation of software.

Either way, hope it helps.

I turned on my HP ENVY 5530 and let it download and update that was showing on the screen.

Now it will not scan.....my computer control panel shows it as offline......the Scan page on my computer says to connect to a scanner.......the scanner says 'no computer found"

PLEASE tell me how to fix this.

thanks
