I haven't had this problem yet for this particular printer, but I've run into issues with printing multiple copies of a document on several different HP printers, and it's alwaays the same problem. Go into the Device Settings tab on the Printer Properties page and make sure Mopier Mode and Job Storage (or similarly named options) are disabled.
Also, have a look at the conversation at this thread, there's a lot of discussion about which driver to use here. I'm still reading the whole thing, since the initial recommendation on page one isn't 100%.

I'm using the HP 1015 driver and it works ok. Once in a while I get the "Unsupported Personality: PCL" error. It seems to be a buffer problem. Before sending a large job to the printer I turn it off to clear the buffer and then turn it back on to start printing. I just keep the printer off most of the time so I know the buffer will be clear when I turn it on to print.

Made the changes to Mopier and Job Storage (they were enabled so I changed them to disabled) and it seems to work printing multiple copies now.
Also noted that there was a printer HDD option enabled; I disabled that too.
Thanks for the info.
I think that is part of the buffer problem mentioned below also.

As posted in the Win7 beta forum, I have an original install CD for 1010/1012/1015 if anyone needs a copy.
Worked for me to click Win Update during install to get the full list of printers, then choose Laserjet 1015.

V... I hear you! Same issue with the HP LaserJet 1012 that has serve me well, but... big mistake.... just got for Xmas a brand new HP TouchSmart 610 computer. As good as it is... I am absolutely PISSED!!!!!!!!! that I can't connect my reliable and trustworthy LaserJet 1012 to this new machine. I am seriously considering returning this computer and looking for something made by a compnay that doesn't want to rape me every time I think about buying one of their products. HP product managers must be buddies with the RIM GMs in Canada that are driving the BB into the ground with their smart decisions. I'm not buying another HP product again!
