8. Problem Description:

Yesterday I tried to print something and appeared an error message that unfortunately I don't remember its content. I tried to print it again, and it printed a blank page. I tried to solve it uninstalling and installing the drivers and the printer and following the instructions on the documents mentioned above without success. I went to buy a new cartridge ink, I replaced it but again without success.

The problem is this: The printer prints as normal but the pages are blank. If you observe the page very close you see that it is actually printed but very very light.

How I should proceed in order to solve this issue?

Many thanks in advance,

Oscar.

Hello,

There is  any technician from HP here?

I think that a machine doesn't stop to work correctly like this. It must exist  a cause.

I just paid for a new ink cartridge.  I would like to try to fix the printer before to buy another one.

Could you please let me know any hint? Is this a hardware fault?

Hello, two days ago I tried to print again and it printed litlle slighty but acceptable.

Today I turned ON the computer and apeared a message error:

ENGINE SCANNER ERROR

The HP laserjet has experienced an internal hardware laser scanner.

And it doesn't work.

Any hint?

It appears you are having print quality issues with it printing very lightly.  I hope this document will be of some assistance.  Read this page thoroughly as it covers the printing problem you are experiencing but does not mention the error message.  This printer and the document came out before Windows 7 so you may want to follow any instructions regarding Windows Vista instead.

Hopefully I can be of assistance but I would really like to know more about that error message if this document does not help.  Let me know if this fixes it for you or if you have any questions about any of the steps.  Then I will look into that error message a little deeper if you are still in need of help.
