HP OfficeJet Pro 8025 All-in-One Printer

My printer has started printing off a message saying that an email that has been sent to the printer is on hold. The email address that is on hold has never been an issue before and is the main sender to the printer.  The message has links on it but as it's on paper I cannot access. I have tried to logon to Mimecast but it asks for a password, which I do no have.

Why has HP introduced this with no notice?  It is affecting how we run our business and it needs to be sorted out, with at least some communication on how it works.

Can someone from HP respond to this message and tell me how to resolve this issue

Happened to me on 02/23. I don't have the answer yet but this is unacceptable from HP.

Hi @JLaw2014,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I'd like to help!

I see that you are not able to send an email to the printer. For more info on how to use the ePrint feature, refer to - Print with HP ePrint

This issue you are facing is not related to the printer. Kindly contact your email service provider. If you are using Outlook, contact Microsoft for assistance.

If the error persists,

Jay,

Sorry to say bud, you're wrong. This has nothing to do with our email system, this is printout directly from the printer in which the top right logo clearly states "HP Mimecast". Please check your sources, as every single rep so far has said this with no solution. You're simply wrong brother, hopefully you guys can sort out this nonsense as soon as possible, don't bother replying if you are going to be unhelpful.

The printout I received is from HP Mimecast.  How is this not an HP related issue?

I just spent some quality time with HP Support on the phone and although they didn’t have a clue of what I was talking about when I show him the page print out we have all received, after checking a few setting and verifying that everything was fine he asked me to do a hard reset of the printer. Not turn it off and back on but unplug it for at least one full minute and then plug it back on. I was skeptical but it solve the problem, it’s printing again from by phone by email. It did not release the emails that were on hold, so I lost that but I sent them again and they printed. So try a hard reset and it may be the end of your troubles. On my case, at least, it seemed that the problem started after the last IOS update but resetting the printer solved the problem. Good luck!

Log into hpsmart.com

Click on "Printers" on the left side of the page.

Click "Printer Options" under the image of your printer model, which should appear automatically.

Scroll down to "ePrint Access."

"Open to anyone" is checked by default.

Click "Allowed" and then enter the email address or addresses you want to email to your printer from.

Click "Add."

It suddenly works again. I hope this helps.

Hi Jay. This issue is still rumbling on. HP agent Kumar has been involved with other members of the community to resolve this, involving getting in touch with Mimecast. I really need Mimecast to stop blocking our clients from being able to send items to our printer! Please advise
