Installing new HP OfficeJet 4652 wireless printer to my HP 6503b laptop. Printer installation gets all the way to 100% then fails to install the drivers. Tried installing with and without usb cord. Printer is set up wireless.

Welcome to the HP Forums. I would be happy to help you with your HP OfficeJet 4650 printer. I understand that driver installation fails and you have already done some preliminary troubleshooting.

Don't worry though as I have a few steps to determine the issue and find a solution as well,

  • Disconnect and reconnect the USB cable.
  • Test the USB connection.
  • Try a different USB cable.
  • Reset the printer.
  • Refresh the Windows Device Manager.
  • Remove unnecessary files and folders.
  • Turn off programs that run in the background.
  • Reinstall the HP driver and software applications.
  • Enable startup programs.

Click here to refer the document and perform troubleshooting steps mentioned above to fix this issue.

Let me know how it goes.

I hope it helps and if you feel I have answered your question and concerns,

Please mark this post as a solution accepted and Kudos would also be appreciated.

Cheers.
