OfficeJet Pro 8100
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I have an OfficeJet 8100 Pro that I have used wirelessly in the past with no issues. ATT came and changed my wireless. I am now unable to join the new wireless network. I can successfully print through USB. I have re-run the HP setup and tried to convert the USB to wireless connection using my computer wireless selection and I get "Your printer failed to join the wireless network". If i try to enter it manually, there are no wireless SSID's in the list and if I manually enter it no luck.

I've tried this from the MAC as well and no luck. I have a hard time believing that this is hardware related with my printer. Any settings on my new ATT router??

Welcome to the HP Forums. I would be happy to help you with your HP Officejet Pro 8100 printer. I understand that you are unable to setup wireless network on this printer, and you have already done some preliminary troubleshooting.

Don't worry though as I have a few steps to determine the issue and find a solution as well,

  • Restart the computer, printer, and router.
  • Check the network and printer connection status.
  • Manually connect the printer to your network.
  • Temporarily disable firewall software on the computer.
  • Uninstall and reinstall the HP driver and software.

Click here to refer the document and perform troubleshooting steps to fix this issue.

I have restarted everything, reinstalled the software, and turned off the firewall. I don't know how to "manually configure the printer" from the printer if there is a way. I did attempt to manually set the wireless settings via the computer software and that does not work.
