HP OfficeJet Pro 8710
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Dear all,
I would like to ask what are the differences between the HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 All-in-One Printer and the HP OfficeJet Pro 8715 All-in-One Printer?

Thank you!

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

Both are the same, it depends on where you purchase them as certain vendors carry teh 8715 while most vendors carry the 8710.

For info on the specs, you can find it here

http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04959111

Hope that helps!

I usedd the hyperlink in the prior post to access the product specficiations.  In reading and comparing all of the information for the Model 8710 and Model 8715, the ONLY difference I could discern involved the printhead.  Model 8710 hs a replaceable printhead.  The document was notably silent about Model 8715's printhead.  I took that specific silence to mean that Model 8715 does NOT have a replaceable printhead.  To me that means that, if your printer has a printhead malfunction, Model 8710 could be repaired and Model 8715 could not.

HI @CA-Housewife

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

Both 8710 and 8715 are the same printer, just that one is sold by a different vendor.

Both have replaceable printheads.

Hope that helps!

I found that the 8715 has a paper tray that will allow both letter and legal size paper while the 8710 only allows for letter size paper

HP Officejet Pro 8710 and 8715 are techincally the same. The printhead CAN be changed for both models.

The difference is 8710 is Instant Ink ready while 8715 is not.

For 8710, if customer opts for instant ink package during setup, he will have instant ink counter starts once the setup cartridges are inserted.

For 8715, if customer decides to opt for instant ink package during setup, counter will only starts when he inserts the instant ink cartridges sent.

Although I am employed by HP, I am speaking for myself and not for HP.

I found that they are exactly the same Printer.

HP Officejet Pro 8710 is sold thru HP for $199.99.

HP Officejet Pro 8715 is sold thru Costco for $169.99 currently with $60.00 rebate getting it for $109.99.

Guess where I am going?

Hint: Its not HP

Ouch HP, who is robbing who?
