Is it possible to scan multiple pages from the ADF but have each page save as an individual PDF file?  If so, how do I do this?

Hi,

There are few ways:

(a) Please try the following steps from your computer (Windows):

  1. Click the HP Officejet 8600 icon on your desktop.
  2. Under Scanner Actions, click Scan a Photo or Document.
  3. Select PDF and click scan.
  4. Use the plus sign to add additional pages.

(b) Using ADF and scan from the printer Control panel.

(c) Use the following free program:

     http://www.pdfsam.org/?page_id=32

This free product allows you to Split one big file to many small files (such as extracting chapters from a thick book) and also to Merge many pdf files to a pdf file.

Regards.

As above only when the image of the first page appears large and over to the left in the sidebar, down below the sidebar there is a nearly invisible tiny + sign and a x sign to add or remove a page. Put your next page on the screen and click the plus sign. Continue until all pages have been scanned. THEN save as a multi-page document. Don't forget to designate where you want your document saved (desktop, folder, etc.) under advanced settings befor you start scanning.

Hope this helps!

They were tiny thats why I didn't notice them. Also resolution had to be 300 or lower.
