Hey @marcy1957 ,
Thank you for taking the time to post on the HP Forums today! Hope you enjoy the experience.
I see you are looking to print on Avery template #5202 with your Officejet Pro 8600.
So when it comes to printing labels we run into some inconsistencies. Some printer models print some labels and some printer models print other labels. The issue is that even within the same model, certain individual printers won't print certain labels that another printer of the same model will. This isn't to discourage you from trying, I'll let you know how to try it properly but it isn't a guaranteed thing.
Use the link that I have shown below for how to load the paper properly. Select the "Load Specialty Paper" link and follow the listed instructions.
http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02890475
After you have loaded the paper into the tray properly as instructed above then you can get all the document you want to print ready. After you have done that then you want to go through the print screen software and make sure you are selecting the type of media you are printing on (in this case {the size} Labels) and go forward with the print.
I hope that this helps you out! Definitely let me know either way so I know how it goes for you! Have a great day and have a wonderful/ safe holiday season!

Hi @marcy1957
According to the printer specifications for the Officejet 8600 Pro Plus, the following label sheet sizes are supported;
Based on what I could find on the Avery website, the 5202 labels appear to be 4x6 sheets. Maybe I looked up the wrong thing, I see you said Avery template #5202 - Item 5215, maybe it would be best for you to take a look at the Avery side, if the sheet size is supported, then you can download a template and that helps answer the "explain the steps" inquiry!
I hope this is helpful.
