Hello Vevetrois
Do you have the Photosmart C4780? A print cartridge error can be caused by different reasons. A damaged or faulty cartridge or an incompatible cartridge may be the cause. Dirty cartridge contacts can also cause problems due to bad electrical contact.
Are you using refilled/re-manufactured cartridges? Have you moved to a different country and bought the ink cartridges are available there? If you are using ink cartridges that were bought in a different country/region your printer will need to have its region reset. To do you will need to call HP phone support, since the cartridges were just purchased they are in warranty and you can ask for the printer region reset.

Seriously? Haven't you been reading the posts? People are getting unwarranted error messages when NONE of the items you listed as possible causes are the cause. I tried EVERYTHING and none of those things you listed was the cause. It is not a good printer and malfunctions regularly without cause.

Hello apple_mac
I was making sure Vevetrois has tried the proper troubleshooting already. I also provided the additional information about region resets. The user th5329a's situation sounds more along the line of needing the region reset.
A hardware failure on the printer is indeed possible. I have seen some fix their ink system or cartridge errors by trying a different wall outlet without a surge protector. Sometimes the lack of proper current can cause problems as well.
