Ok VB01,

Let's go ahead and restore the network defaults on the printer. Follow the steps below from the front panel of your D110a:

Setup Menu > Restore Network Defaults

Once this is done I would like you to run the Wireless Setup Wizard from the front panel of the printer:

Setup Menu > Wireless Setup Wizard

Please let me know the status, I will watch for your reply.

Thanks,

done.  It says No problems found.  Congratulation on the sucessful setup of your wireless printer.

Now what?

Hey VB01,

Now that your printer is successfully connected wirelessly, you can go ahead and run the software. You should now be able to see your printer pop up in the installation software. Please let me know the outcome.

Thanks,

I'm sorry to be so dense, I know I've downloaded it several times... where do I find it now?  the sofware.

I've run the Doctor again and so downloaded the sofware and installed it again.   The printer is set as default.  but now it doesn't even print!  there is no coneection from my computer to the printer (or so it seems).  there is obviously some step missing. ??  Also, I used to have the printer sho.w up in the HP solution Center little panel (where I could switch from one printer to another).  It does not come up at all.

So -- I tried to scan from printer and it says to try scan from computer or see documentation.  Press OK.

Then -- I try to scan or print from computer and nothing happens.

???

I really appreciate your help, but I don't seem to be getting anywhere.  I have removed the device, reinstalled (again and again) and now it tells me it cannot find the basic drivers, so I get nowhere and it all takes me back to square 1.  I am very, very, very frustatrated.  I have been at this for about 4 days now!  I have downloaded and installed, again and again.  I have run the scan doctor and the install wizard at least 3 times each.  I managed to scan from the IP address, which just gives me a picture, which I copied to save, but shows that the printer is working.  Right?   So now what?

I am still asking myself why this printer did not come with an old-fashioned installation CD....

Hi VB01,

Thank you for your updates and I understand your frustration, I want to get this resolved with you. Today is a new day so let's begin. Please print a network configuration page for me, you can do that from the front panel of your printer. Follow steps listed below:

Setup MenuWireless > Wireless Settings > Print Network Configuration Page

On this page I would like you to capture the IP address and go to a web browser on your computer Internet explorer, google chrome) and put it in the address bar at the top exactly as it is shown, example 192.168.555.5. Please let me know if you are able to reach the Embedded Web Server (EWS), here you will see your Photosmart D110 and it should show your printer status as online and ready.

Once you have completed this step, please let me know your outcome so we can continue troubleshooting.  I ask that you hang tight, I will do some more research and wait for your findings before we go to the next step.

Thanks so much, I appreciate your patience VB01 🙂

Hey VB01,

Please refer to my last post and let me know your findings, what was the IP address? Were you able to reach the Embedded Web Server?  Hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks,
