I bought a wireless card from a supplier online and replaced it in the printer (front left of printer behind cover). Replacement wireless card (about $30) fixed the problem. Will post website of supplier once email order is located

Could you send me the web address for that network card? I'm having the same issue with my C309a and tried everything mentioned on the posts and looks like me too have a dead network card.

Thanks for the help...

I have had the same problem.  15 minutes now and it's still trying to find the network.  My blue wifi light on the right edge is on, no Icon on the screen.  I'm think I'm done with HP printers.  This one was a pain to set up, the software is crap and the ink is too expensive.  HP is incompentant with networks, wireless and corded.  I have another usb issue with my HP simple save 1tb drive.  Restart the usb connection hangs the re-boot.  It's now be 25 minutes, can't find the network.  It's a shame, I'm in the market now for a new printer.
