Here is a screen shot of what we are talking about, these are the messages that won't go away, no matter how many times you click on the trash cans they just come back.

Hey there! thanks for the reply,

I understand that you are unable to delete the support assistant messages.

To postpone or delete a current update, use the following steps.

Go to the settings page.

  1. Next to the message you want to postpone, click Remind me.

  2. Select Tomorrow, One week, or One month, depending on when you want to be reminded.

Go to settings, Under second option select enable your PC to show contact options, warranty information, and important support messages- And select No

Click save at the bottom of the page.

If you want to change other notifications you can try the following steps.

  • If you want important updates installed automatically, click Install important updates automatically when possible.

  • If you want important and recommended updates installed automatically, click Install important and recommended updates automatically when possible.

  • To view more install options, click More options.

  • If you want to choose which updates to install, click Check for updates, but let me choose when updates to download and install.

  • If you do not want HP Support Assistant to check for updates, click Never check for updates.

  • To view the data collected by HP, click View computer data collected and sent to HP during HP scans and updates. A Data Collected by HP window opens.

Let me know if this helps.

Have a great day!

I don't think you are fully understand the issue. I can postpone & delete the messages. But they just come right back. I have tried many times to postpone but it does ot work. They don't postpone when you tell it to postpone & they don't delete when you tell it to delete. Well actually they do, but they come right back after. Also to change the settings to not show contact options, warranty information, and important support messages, is not a fix. We want those things, but we also want to be able to get rid of the messages after they have been read. The screen shot I attached above was taken after me telling support assisstant to postpone several times & clicking the trashcans several times. We don't want to turn off what support assisstant is made to do, because then why have it at all. We want a fix for this issue, or like others have said on here, if you can not fix it then we will get rid of it.

You are saying that according to the HP website the recommended version is 8.3.34.7, we are telling you that we do have that version,  it already has been downloaded & updated from the website, but the issue still remains. That is what we all are trying to tell you. Having that version does not fix the problem.

Hey there! thanks for the reply Brad,

So you have updated the HP support assistant version and you still are unable to delete the messages.

Can you please try to use support assistant in safe mode and let me know if you still have the same issue.

If you have a different hp computer can you please install the HPSA 8.3.34.7 and let me know the status.

Have a great day!
