Those strange "C"/0x error codes normally have to do with the ink system or cartridges on an inkjet printer. I would test booting the printer while one cartridge is removed to see if you can figure out which one the printer does not like. A little trial and error should reveal the problem area.

Hello, I agree with the above post, usually you see those errors in regards to the ink system, if you purchased one of the first models of this series it is a manufactures defect. If the machine is still under warranty I would get with HP and have them replace the machine, if you are unable to get the machine to come to ready after the troubleshooting that the above post suggested. Or if you want to be brave you can order and replace the printbar, but I highly recommend having HP replace the machine, as replacing the printbar is not easily replaceable.
Hope this helps.....

Our 4 year old X467dw has all the lights flashing and says Print Error, Please turn Printer off, then on. Just before this message an error code flashes, on blue scree, C8190014 . This code flashes so quickly that I had to video tape it to see it in slow motion.
I called HP support (the business line option). The service tech told me they have seen this error on this machine before. He walked me through a test:
1. unplug the machine.
2. remove all ink, the paper tray, and the ink tray (bottom left hand side).
3. plug in the machine and hope for the best.
The same error code C8190014 appeared.
I was then told that the machine needed profesionally repair. HP would repair the machine for $405 within 3-5 businessdays or for $435 within 1 to 2 business days. The machine sells for $389 at Staples.
I'd buy different machine to replace it except I just purchase replacement cartrages for this machine and now have $400 in ink.
Feeling a bit taken advantage of here HP.
