Hello,

Working with an iPad 3.

Is the connection possible (through bluetooth) to print on the HP officejet 150?

I read it is NOT possible.

Could you please confirm?

Many thanks

K

Hey kvitiello,

I see you have the Mobile 150.  This printer does not have ePrint or AirPrint support the 2 methods often used for printing from an iPad.  The iPad does not support bluetoothing to an iDevice and printing.

Hope this helps answer your question,

Jason

Thanks for the info!
Thankfully haven't bought if yet!
Isn't it a bit daft not to have a solution for this MOBILE printer to work with an iPad?
...
Thanks anyway

No Problem!  I am glad I was able to help clarify.  I am not a part of the design team, however I can say from my experience that very few printers perform well with Bluetooth print actions from an iDevice.

The best route for printing from an iDevice from my experience is to use AirPrint.  The Mobile 150 simply doesn't support AirPrint, thus removing the main method of iDevice printing.

I understand that with the old model, the 470 mobile printer, you could connect it to an iPad using an ad-hoc network. Is this not possible to do on the new 100 or 150 mobile printers? The HP specification clearly states that the 150 is a networkable printer, in addition to wireless and bluetooth...

I find the fact that neither Apple nor HP have come up with a modern solution for mobile printing..!

I also have an Ipad, and the sales tech did not inform me that the ipad was not compatiable with the HP officejet 150. The printer has already been opened and I have been trying to get it to work. So i doubt I can really return it... is there any possible way to make this work? i also have an iphone that i carry with me

If it does not connect via bluetooth, would there be a cord i could use? I tried to use the charger cord and plug into the USB outlet on the printer but it did not like that.

Before buying the 150 for a Christmas present the "chat" person assured me you could print from an Ipad Air using bluetooth. Now when trying to set this up The 150 is NEVER discoverable by the Ipad... Was the chat person lying to me??? Or am I just such a Luddite that I can't figure this out???

If for some reason the Ipad really can't recognize the bluetooth of the OfficeJet 150 is there some solution to printing from an Ipad to this device other than the one given on Amazon with setting up a wireless network on the printer involving cables and wires and tape?

Thank you vor any solution or wisdom you can toss my way!
