Bought an HP 96/97 double pack in Dec. 2016, from Best Buy. 96 cartridge is not working.  I was told that because it is past the two week Best Buy return period, that it must be replaced with HP.  HP refuses to replace it, even though it is still under warranty. After being transferred to 5 different people, I was told that my printer was obsolete & that I should purchase a new printer. What does that have to do with a defective ink cartridge? Cartridge is under warranty & is still sold on the HP web site! I've been getting the run-around from rude & clueless customer service reps. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME FIND A SOLUTION!

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
