Hello,

For Mavericks software that is available for any Scanjet devices, I would recommend either pose your question to the commercial forum, or look on the driver and download page. I have included both of the links here for you.
HP Enterprise Business Community
HP Drivers & Downloads page

For others with an Officejet, Photosmart, Laserjet, or Deskjet. You can see if the Mavericks 10.9 software is available on the HP Drivers & Downloads page. Just type in your product number, and click on go. Then select your operating system, and select next. Then scroll down, select your drivers and download.

Please keep an eye on these links for updates to the software that is being rolled out. This will be the first place that is available, when it does become available.

Thank you.

Sorry Lisa,

but there isn't any drivers for Mac OS X 10.9 (Maverick), the last driver for my Scanjet 3800 is for system until 10.8.

With this driver I can't save, I can make an image scanning but when I click on "save" appear an error message.

What can I do?

Tks

Anna

Sorry Lisa:

Under OS X v10.9 Mavericks: Installing and Using the Printer on a Mac at <http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03967522 it provides this:

"How do I scan with the driver from Apple Software Update?

Depending on your printer and the type of driver update, you might need to scan in a different way than you did before you installed Mavericks.

"NOTESmiley Frustratedcanning to the computer from the printer control panel is not available when you scan with Preview, Image Capture, or Printer browser methods. You must use HP Scan software to scan from the printer."

It's impossible to use HP Scan as I detailed in my earlier post.

HP Scanjet 8200 still not working.... (last update 2011)

how long does it take?

When and where will the actual photosmart scan software be available?!  This is outrageous how long this is taking!

Newsdaog, use printer app, Image Capture, or Printer & Scanner prefPane to do your scanning. You don't need to use HP Scan.

I have a HP Scanjet 4070 Photosmart.  Haven't been able to find driver update for Maveriks.  I can't use ICA or Preview to scan.  ICA does not recogniza scanner neither Preview App.  I have installed the HP-Scanjet-Update-for-OS-X-10.7 after the HP_Installer_Scanjet_v2.4.4_Ph5.  Nothing works.

Recently ugraded to Mavericks and HP c410a scanner is not communicating.  error from System prefs scanning option, Image capture and preview.  Followed all suggestions in post.  Tried installing via Airprint as well as HP driver option.  The printer prints fine and oddly enough can scan from the web interface.  Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

**HP Please fix this issue with you printers and sofware in Mavericks.

Thanks
