Product: hp color laserjet 2840

I was advised to update the drivers but the computer claims I have the most up to date driver. There is a scaner error 2 on the control panel of the 2840 but I am not using scanner.

The color tab being hidden is likely a driver problem.  Unfortunetly this is a fairly old printer model and there does not appear to be UPD support for it.  This limits your options to whatever is on the HP Support website for your current OS, which I'd guess is provided by Windows Update or is a Vista solution.
