HPPro X476DW - Invalid shared folder. check your network path and try again

Hi,

Kindly need assistance due to HPPro X476DW Multifunction Printer scanner failed to recognize network path. We also got HP Laser Jet Enterprise MFP M775DN and use same path and same credential but no issue for this printer. Fyi we are using DFS for our file sharing system.

If we are using simple file sharing example \\mypc\foldername then the isssue can be solved but unfortunately we need to keep all file scan into our file sharing server. HPPro X476DW seems cannot read DFS file sharing. Below is configuration between HPPro X476DW and HP Laser Jet Enterprise MFP M775DN

Hi,

Please ensure the latest firmware is installed for your printer and then check for any difference, LWP1CN1548AR is the latest firmware version, as I can see by its README, it fixes many issues realted with scanning to a shared folder:

Thanks for your reply. Yes firmware is the latest. Its weird, i dont think there  is a  different between HP Laser Jet Enterprise MFP M775DN and HPPro X476DW since both from HP.

Anyone can help me regarding this isssue?we have massive trouble if cannot solve this issue. Already bought around 150 printer. Or can give any idea who can i consult about this issue?how to directly get level 3 engineer?im calling tech support level 1 and seems they hasnt understand about this issue.

Had this same issue, What ended up needing to be done was making a local account on the Server/PC  that is hosting the share file/folder and using that account to set up network share on the printer

username  PCname\Usercrated

Password  what ever your password is

network path \\PCname\Share folder name
