Good day,
Product name: HP Deskjet Ink Adv 2060 K110
Running on Windows 8
After the printer is turned on, the thing inside which contains the ink cartridge moves once, and "crashes".
What usually happens when the printer is turned on is that, the "ink cartridge carrier" slides back and forth twice. What's happening is that after sliding once (left to right), it goes back to left and crashes itself like it bumped something inside.
After crashing, the "ink cartridge carrier" would slide back to the right side and there would then be the X mark in the printer indicating something went wrong and that the device wouldn't be able to print.
Is there anything i can do to fix this or should i just bring the device to the nearest HP shop and let the technician handle it?
Any suggestion would be very much welcomed,
Thank you,

Hey @Jhames,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I understand that you're having a hardware issue with your HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2060 All-in-One machine. I would like to work with you to resolve the 'carriage' issues you're having. Because the Carriage is the thing that moves left and right inside the printer is not responding properly I'm going to treat this issue as a Carriage or Paper Jam.
Do you have any other blinking lights on the front panel of the printer besides the (X)?
For now I'm going to have you run through the following steps. These steps will walk you through checking your paper path and ensuring that the Carriage is moving freely within the product:
- Open the output tray.Open the output tray.
- Check the control panel for the blinking lights.
- If these steps resolved the issue, you do not need to continue troubleshooting.
- If the issue persists, continue to the next solution.
- Slide the paper width guide to its outermost position.
- Load a stack of paper into the paper tray, print-side down. Slide the stack of paper forward until it stops.
- Slide the paper width guide against the paper.Load paper, and then adjust the paper width guide
- Check the control panel for the blinking lights.
- If these steps resolved the issue, you do not need to continue troubleshooting.
- If the issue persists, continue to the next solution.
