My printer will no longer print because the yellow ink cartridge is beyond its expiry date.
The message I get from the printer tells me I can click on the "OK button "on the printer to override the printing prohibitioin, but there is no such button on the printer. The message says
The following cartirdges are past their expiration dates: Yellow. You shuld remove or replace the expired cartridges or press OK on the device to continue with the expired cartirdges. Printer services or repairs required as a result of using expired cartridges will not be covered under warranty.
The HP web site tells me I can override the suspended printing setting, but says follow the instructions given by the printer, or in the printer manual. I can find no entry in the very small manual telling me how to do this.
Can anyone help?

I will do my best to help you with the expired ink error message but namely I want to get you the extensive user guide as well. Please verify for me first, which model of Officejet 8000 you have so I know I am giving you the best advice.
Hopefully this image explains what you need to do:
Even if this fixes the problem for you, let me know which model you have so I can send you a link to the user manual with information like you see here.
I really hope this helps!
Don't forgot to say thanks by giving "Kudos" if I helped solve your problem.

I am very happy to hear that!! 😄 And, as promised, here is the 8000 Wireless A809n User Guide:
--Officejet Pro 8000 User Guide--
It is in .PDF format so you can save it to your computer, although I suggest to save the link in your Favorites in Internet Explorer because it opens this document with an index on the left side of the screen.
Or just CTRL+F when it is open to search the exact word you need when looking for an answer. See my picture above? All I did was search for the word "Expired" and found your answer in no time. 🙂
Happy Printing!!
Let me know if I can be of any more assistance.
