Everytime I print anything on my printer (Officejet Pro 8100) I get an extra page printed confirming the job. How do I stop this from happening? I cannot find anything in the print settings. Tired of thowing away an extra piece of paper every time I print. Thanks.

I hope you're well @jjolar, Welcome to the HP Community 😄
I understand when you print to your Officejet Pro 8100 from your Mac running 10.10, there is an extra page printed, and I wanted to comment with my suggestions to help out.
I would recommend that you try these steps:
1. Reset the printer and ensure the printer is plugged in directly to a wall outlet. Avoid power bars and surge protectors.
Turn the printer on.
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the unit.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the unit.
If the printer does not turn on by itself, press the power button to turn it on.
2. Try these steps in order:
- Reset the printing system
- Repair disk permissions
- Restart the Mac
- Download and run HP Easy Start here: HP Easy Start
- In addition, download this driver: HP Printer Drivers v3.1 for OS X
- Try printing again now from a few programs and let me know the outcome!
Good luck 😄
