The scanner hasn't ever been properly aligned and I can't seem to find anything about how to do it

Hi @ScottCoyleSr,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I'd like to help!

Alignment is usually performed for the ink cartridges and not for the scanner.

Could you brief me on the scanner issue you are facing?

Let me know!

It refuses to scan a standard page ( 8x11 ) fully, it's off set by about an 1/2" or more. That portion is cut off and anything I scam smaller than a standard sheet of paper I have to move it away from the top left corner or the left side entirely. This is when placing it on the scanner glass itself, as even the multiple document scanner portion doesn't scan the left side either and comes out distorted.

Ok it cuts off the right and that's with using the scanner glass itself, checking after to make sure I didn't close it too quickly and move the paper. This is a screenshot of a scan I did a few days ago.

Does this happen even when you make copies?

Does the scanner bar light move all the way to the end of the glass? Could check by keeping the scanner lid up?

Let me know!
