Deskjet 3630
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The network configuration page for my printer shows a wireless MAC address and a WiFi Direct MAC address, but if I log on to my router this additionally shows two HP devices with Ethernet MAC addresses. Since the 3630 has no Ethernet port  and I have no HP devices other than the printer, can anyone explain what these two additional MAC addresses relate to, please?

Hi @CurtJugg,

Welcome to the HP Support Forums! It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel. I understand you are havie question about MAC address. I will be glad to help you.

Media Access Control address (MAC address) dentifier assigned to network interfaces for communications on the physical network segment.  Not as important as the IP address with Local Area Networks.  The router assign IP address to each item on the network and there uses the IP address to control the flow of information to each device.

I hope these helps you.

If you require further assistance, let me know and I will gladly do all I can to help you.

Thanks for your reply. However, I am asking why my printer, which has no Ethernet port, has two Ethernet MAC addresses in addition to the wireless and WiFi Direct MAC addresses.
