How to Scan without accessing the HP Cloud Services

I am wireless and very frustrated.  I have things I need to scan for work and now cannot do this.  HP you stink.

It does not matter if you have full software installed or not.  If it is necessary (for whatever reason ) to go to your settings on your Windows 10 computer  to manage your device  you have to open printer app and that takes you to HP Smart and if you try to scan from there you can't get past that stupid HP Cloud.  I wish you would fix that problem,

That ONLY works if you want to be wired in.  many of us do not.  I can't  Where my printer needs to be and where my computer is, is too far apart

The reason is that we are wirelsss.   I even called HP .. the ONLY way is to hard wire and not be wireless

Suddenly I can't scan without using Cloud Services. I have work to do but will not be bullied into joining.

I have been satisfied with the printer for several years no it has been hIJacked. I need a simple solution

Just DELETE the HP Software. I did this, and am now able to print  and scan to my computer with no problem. It's a shame that HP has taken this route and seems to be deaf to it's customer (now ex-customer) desires.

So are you referring to the HP Smart software?  If you do this, how do you control scan, i.e. document or photo, size, cropping, etc.?

OK, now my scanner won't work with the Windows Fax and Scan program anymore either. HP did it again. What a piece of #@$%.
