Hi,
I just set up my new Envy 5530 printer and have begun printing. I am not seeing an option to change the print size. As I primarily will be using this printer for business shipping postage labels, I usually reduce my print copy to 85% to save ink, paper, and shipping tape. I had this option on my old HP printer- but am not seeing an option for it anywhere in the print set up window when I go to print. Help!
Thank you for your assistance, Nuit

Hi @nuit
I see you are trying to make the font smaller on your printed output. If you are using Internet Explorer you can use this document; Text is Small When Printing from Internet Explorer. If however, you are using AOL you can following these instructions from this post, 'how do i make the text larger'.
As you can see modifying the text size is going to depend on the program you are using. If you are not using Internet Explore or AOL, can you please post back with more detail. What Browser are you using and/or what programs you are printing from, and what operating system, and version do you have? Mac or Windows?

Hi @nuit
I see what you mean now, my apologies. The only thing I can think to suggest is to try an alternate print driver. Basically the feature you are looking for was not incorporated in this version of driver.
To assign an alternate print driver in Windows 8:
- Hold your mouse arrow in the lower right, or upper right, corner of the screen to bring up the Charms Bar. If you are using a touch screen, you can swipe your finger from the right side to the left.
- Select the Search Charm.
- Under the search box, click on Settings.
- In the search box, type Devices.
- Click on Devices and Printers.
- Click on add a printer, then after you have your printer added a second time;
- Right-click on your 2nd printer.
- Select Printer Properties.
- Click on the Advanced tab.
- Click on New Driver.
- Click Next.
- Select HP from the first list.
- Select HP Deskjet PCL3 Class Driver from the second list. You can also use either the Photosmart PCL3 class Driver, Officejet PCL3 Class Driver, Deskjet 990c or Deskjet 450 driver.
- Click Next.
- Click Finish.
- Click Apply to save the changes.
- Click OK to close the window.
you can rename one of these printers too so you know the difference between the 2 of them.
If you find an alternate driver that works, I would suggest keeping it as a secondary printer in your Device and Printers as it may have limitations because it will be a driver that wasn't designed for your printer. So basically, you would have 2 printers in your Device and Printers, one of which you would use regularly, and the other for projects such as this.

I had the same problem. After a few attempts , this is the only way that I found to make the shipping labels print out smaller.
How to print a smaller label size using your HP Envy 5530 printer. For Window's 7
1. Click on "Purchase Label".
2. On the "Print postage label" page click on "If your label prints too small, (open the label window) and click Print Label".
3. Go up to "File" at the top of page and click to open "Print Preview".
4. On the Print Preview page, click on "Shrink to fit" or Alt + S.
5. Choose the percentage to shrink the label to when printed. You may have to experiment until you are happy with the size, so I would use a sheet of paper for this, then when you know what percentage is right ( I used 70%), you can go back and print it again.
Note: This will print the label as Portrait. This might be the opposite way than your use to. Just turn the label to suit your needs before printing.
