I have an iMac desktop that is connected to the internet via ethernet. The wifi has been turned on. My Officejet Pro is in another room and is connected to the wifi I have set up at home. The computer is hardwired into the modem router, while the printer is connected to the home wifi. How do I print from my desktop without running a wire to the printer? I also have a laptop and would like to print wirelessly.

Hi,
Thanks for using the HP Forums.
1. Connect your printer to the network
This resource will be useful:
Connecting a printer using Wireless Setup Wizard
2. Go to www.hp.com > Support > Software and Drivers
3. Key in your printer model and at the download page, ensure that the Operating System is correct, else change it
4. Download the HP Easy Start and install the HP Utility and HP Easy Scan
5. It should be able to detect your printer in the network at the connection stage
After installing, you should be able to print and scan.
Hope that helps!

Thanks for the reply.
However, while I have no problem printing from my laptop, which is connected to my wifi network, I am having trouble locating the printer from my desktop, which is connected via ethernet. The HP Utility tells me that I am "unable to communicate with selected device. It may have been turned off, or otherwise disconnected."
Any thoughts?
