How to remove orange tab on hp 564 cartridge?

Hey @Lindenhouse,

 

Welcome to the HP Support Forums!

I would like to assist you with removing the orange tab on the HP 564 Print Cartridges.

 

Step 1: Pull the orange tab to remove the new cartridge from the plastic wrap.

Step 2: Twist the orange cap counter clockwise until it snaps off the new cartridge.

Step 3: With the nozzle and contacts facing down, slide the cartridge into its slot. Press down on the cartridge until it clicks into place.
