Hi @Ena1,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I understand that you need to reset the scan size because you're unable to see the full document/image. I would be happy to look into this with you and please remember to return to this thread and mark 'Accept as Solution', if I have successfully helped you resolve the issue. If you wish to say 'thanks' for my effort to help, click the 'thumbs up' to give me a Kudos.
It sounds like you need to adjust the scan settings.
- Open HP Scan.
- On the left-hand side, click on the scan shortcut that you wish to change.
- On the right-hand side, select Scan Size you wish to select (A4). It might be set to Entire Scan Area.
- To reduce the scan size, change Resolution to 200 dpi or lower (being mindful that it reduces the image quality).
If you're still experiencing problems, review the screenshot below.
- Item Type: Photo, check to see if Auto Crop is selected. If so, deselect it.
- Try scanning again.
To change the advanced Photo/Document settings
- Click Advanced Picture Settings or Advanced Document Settings, and then select the setting you need.
- Click Save to file Save Options to change the following settings (depending on your printer).
If you're still experiencing problems, hit Restore Defaults and try scanning again.
NOTE: After changing your settings, I suggest you select the Option: Make the selected shortcut the default for this button.
For more information, see HP Printers - Scanning from the Computer with HP Scan (Windows).
Hope this answers your question. Please respond to this post with the results. Thank you for posting!
