I also having the same issue.. LAN is connected to my printer.. but still it shuts down after 8 hrs.. this is really driving me crazy.. the machine is useless when it shuts down.. You must fix this problem or I will return machine back to HP.

This is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that you want to disable auto turn of option on HP LaserJet MFP M277dw Printer. I would like to help you resolve this issue.

On the printer control panel, press the Power button to turn on the printer if it is not already on.

Touch the System Setup button (
).
-
Swipe left to scroll to the Energy Settings menu.

Swipe left to select one of the following energy-saving functions:
-
Sleep/Auto Off After: Press the Right Arrow button to select never.

Click here and refer the document to perform the above steps.
Let me know if that works.

I appreciate your time and effort.
I request you to perform a NVRAM reset on the printer.
I am sending you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.
Please check your Private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile,
Next, to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
Please reply back on the public post as this Private message box is not monitored.

I have to tell you this is the most BS thing in the world. It's a friggin fax machine - how the hell do you expect to get a friggin fax when the **bleep** thing shuts off after 8 hrs. OMG all these **bleep** companies and their friggin political green BS, give me the opportunity to have the **bleep** thing on all the time. The only thing keeping me from returning this machine at this point is my desire not to be seen in public with an HP printer!!!!

Same question.
I printer remotely on a regular basis, often times more than 8 hours between print jobs, so the printer is off.
REally need the ability to keep the printer on at all time, at least in "sleep'" mode.

It is now almost two years since I started this chain and complained about the problem, and HP has still not solved the problem. Really bad support! I have 3 printers, and also have to use them remotely, so this problem really drives me crazy! HP, pls do something!!!

They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number.
