I have read lots of questions and answers. none of them work.

I cannot find wher to enter my static ip address for my wireless printer D110.

I have set it up uder settings and wireless setup about 5 times now. it always gives me a address of

169.254.195.184. Even though ti see's my computer and network as a 10.10.40.?

Is there not a way to manually set it.

Hi @Michellia

The 169.254.195.184 means the printer is not communicating with the router. The router should give the printer an IP beginning with 10, like the other devices. Let's run the wireless wizard, obtain a successful connection, take the new IP address and enter into an Internet Browser. This will launch the printers Embedded Web Server where we can create a static IP if you will want to.

1. Go to Settings on your printer
2. Choose Network
3. Choose WIRELESS SETUP WIZARD
4. This will search for your router ad you will need to enter your network password.

Once this is complete, take the printers IP address and enter it in an address bar of any Internet Browser. Click the Network tab. Look for Advanced or IPv4 and look for Manual IP. These directions may very each printer models EWS is a little different.

If you need further assistance, let me know. Thanks.

Hi

Did what you recommended, which is what I did 3 times before. After typing inthe network and then paswword, it says found network and printer is online.

Print out the report the ip address is 169.254.195.184 not what it is supposed to be which is 10.10.40.100.

How do you set the IP manually?

That is what I need to do.

Why have our own router which we made. has Check Point software on it. We have 31 devices with their own detecated IP addresses. All work except the HP printer.

Printer works fine if we use defaults like 192.168.?.? but not when we have a great firewall, router with detecated IP addresses.

Hi @Michellia

I have tried to do some research, but at this point I have nothing further to recommend. As you stated, printer works fine if we use defaults like 192.168, the issue is not the printer, it is related to the router settings.
