Important: To avoid startup failures, you must use the SETUP cartridges that came with the product. - Hold the cartridge so that the cartridge contacts are facing toward the product.
- Reinsert the cartridge into its slot, and then gently push it forward until it clicks into place.
NOTE: Make sure that the colored dot on the cartridge label matches the colored dot on the slot.
Figure : Insert the cartridge into its color-coded slot - Repeat these steps to check the other cartridges for leaking ink.
- Close the cartridge access door.
- If these steps resolved the issue, you do not need to continue troubleshooting.

- Wait 60 seconds.
- Press the Power button (
) to turn on the product.
NOTE: The product might go through a warm-up period, which might last several minutes. Wait until the warm-up period completes before you continue.

- If the issue persists, continue to the next solution.
In addition, you could always try an alternate approach seeing as the printer is out of warranty. Please use with your own discretion before proceeding.
NOTE: The printhead may be clogged, not in contact with the printer or defective. You would always remove and clean it and reinsert it to see if that helps.

Awesome assist!!! haven't even tried all the video stuff yet.. but it's obviously very comprehensive and geared toward really rolling up your sleeves and fixing our issues - and not just steering us towards giving up and buying a new (non HP!) printer.
My issue is some apparent rogue "leaking" even with brand new HP Genuine 100% legit expensive and all getout ink cartridges that come out clean as a whistle when i "check them for leaks and replace", but i'm guessing dismantaling everything and scrupulously cleaning and reinstalling everthing should fix or it's hammer time!
Anyway,
Kudos!
