Hp Designjet 500 plus
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi everybody,

I'm trying to print with my HP Designjet 500 plus (os windows 7 64bit), but I only got molded sheets, then I tried to align printerhead and calibrate colors, but I did not fix the problem.  Picture 1 and 2 refear to color calibration, 3 and 4 to printheads alignment1.jpg2.jpg3.jpg4.jpg

Can you give us a bit of history on this printer. Was it working and then all of a sudden this happened. Was any work performed on the plotter like a belt change, etc. Almost looks like the carriage is sitting to low and the ink is smearing as the heads touch the paper which they should not. There is a bushing on the carriage which if gone or sitting wrong can cause the carriage to sit to low in front.

Dear davidutz, thanks for you reply. The printer is being used very few, then closed into a room unused for very long time. So I decide to make it work again but there was this problem (pictures you saw) and the belt was crumbled. I replace it by my self following the user manual step to step, cleaning all the internal and replacing printheads ( thought it wars the cause). As you I thought about the wrong position of the carrige, but I creat a pattern with the calbration in the secret menù of the printer and look like it print randomly (no smear on the paper). Anyway, what you think is the bushing to fix?
