I can't connect my printer to wifi. It tells me that my password is wrong.. but the password is right (i've tried it 10 times). I have changed my old router (D-Link) with a new Netgear and my printer doesn't connect online anymore. I've tried everything possible but nothing. I've got a Mac Book Pro a Printer Hp OfficeJet 4630 and a Router Netgear D6100. Please i need help, this is a nightmare.

Hi! @mikestate, Thanks for stopping by HP forums!

I understand that you connect your printer to wifi you are getting an error the password is incorrect.

Don't worry I will try to help you out.

Please try the steps mentioned below.

You might be able to find the wireless network password from a computer that is connected to the wireless network. To view the network password on a Mac, open the Keychain Access application.
In the Finder menu bar, click Go, and then click Utilities.
Open the Keychain Access application.
In the Keychains list, click Local Items.
In the Category list, click Passwords.
Double-click the wireless network name, then click the Show password check box.
If prompted, type the administrator password, and then click OK.
If the Show Password check box is unavailable or you do not have the administrator password, go to the next step.

Refer this article further troubleshoot wireless WEP, WPA, WPA2 Password.

If the issue still persists run wireless setup wizard on the printer.

Try the steps recommended below.

The Wireless Setup Wizard, which you run from the printer's control panel. (Not available for printers without a touch display)

Make sure you know your network name and your security password (WEP, WPA, or WPA2).
On the printer's control panel, go to the Network menu or touch the wireless icon and then go to settings. Select Wireless Setup Wizard. The Wireless Setup Wizard displays a list of wireless networks in the area.
Note: Settings may be accessed by touching a wrench icon, depending on the product model.

Select your wireless network's name from the list.
If you don't see your wireless network listed, you can enter your network name manually by scrolling to the bottom of the list. If you enter the name manually it must be exact, including upper and lower case characters.
Enter your WEP key or WPA passphrase. You must enter the key or passphrase exactly, including upper and lower case characters. Your printer should connect to your wireless network. If it does not connect, you are given the opportunity to print a Wireless Network Test report that will help you find out what may be wrong.

Let me know if it works!

Cheers! 🙂

Thanks for the reply and trying the suggested steps. If you are still unable to connect to the new router even after restoring the network settings to defaults. Recommend you to uninstall the printer software from your computer, reset the printing system and install it back on the computer. Refer to the articles below for assistance.

HP Printers - Uninstalling HP Printer Software (Mac)

HP Printers - Resetting the Printing System (Mac)

When installing the latest printer software on your computer, please connect the printer to your computer with a USB cable.

Once the setup is complete and the printer is working with USB connection.

Run the printer software again and you will be prompted to convert USB to wireless.

Select that option and your printer will be connected to the new network (Netgear.)

Note: HP Printers do not work or connect to 5Ghz networks. If you are using a dual band router, please give different names to 2.4Ghz and 5 Ghz networks and connect the printer to the 2.4Ghz network.

Let me know how it goes.

The password was not accepted, i think that the problem must be the router netgear, if  i put my old router d-link it'll work. Netgear and HP in my opinion are not compatible, i tried all the steps, i can't get it, neither the router nor the printer are broken.
