Please read this post then provide some details.  What printer model? What operating system? How is the printer connected - USB, wired LAN, Wireless LAN, bluetooth? Are there any error messages on the printer or computer screen?  What exactly is the problem?

Please read this post then provide some details.  What printer model? What operating system?  Do you have a 32 bit or 64 bit version?  If you have Windows 7 or Windows 8 the  Printer Install Wizard at http://www.hp.com/go/tools may help resolve the issue.  If you have a Mac or older Windows OS then click on "Support and Drivers" at the top of this page (and most other HP pages), enter your printer model, then enter your operating system and look for a full featured driver for download.

You can download from HP here.  There is also a firmware update you can install as described here and an update that improves network reliability available here if you have a 64 bit version of Windows 7?
