This did the trick , Thank you !!!

It happened again... stuck on Initializing.

 

This time the key sequence didn't work as the scanning bar was stuck a couple of inches across the glass surface.

 

Had to open the printer, and firmly bang on the under side of the scanning panel to get it unstuck. 

 

That got it working again.

starts out fine, then puts ->English on screen ... OK does not appear to work .. did you see this
