Hi SGUN1101

I understand you are getting a error when trying to scan.

I would download and run the Print and Scan Doctor to fix common printing and scanning problems.

http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03287318

I  would recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the printer software.

Disconnect the usb cable first.

I included a document to uninstall the printer software.

http://www.wikihow.com/Remove-Programs-(Windows-7)

This url is for the Win7 64 bit drivers for the printer to download, save and run.

If you need more assistance just let me know.

Hi Provost

I'm just trying to set up my brand new Win7 64 bit machine and - yes -  Scan to PDF is no longer an option with my Color Laserjet CM2320fxi MFP as well.

Can you help me, this is real crucial for me.

Thanks in advance

I am sorry, but to get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since this is a commercial printer. You can do this at http://h30499.www3.hp.com/hpeb/

I hope this helps.

Dear Sir

I am also the victim of the same problem. Please provide me the solution. I am from banking industry and work in IT department. We have around seven same MFPs and we are upgrading our systems to Windows 7/8 keeping the deadline of discontinuation of services for Windows XP.

Thanks and regards

If you can extract the scanto.msi file from the installer you can run this file and then go to the HP folder to create a shortcut from the scanto.exe.   We have done this on all our PCs that use the LJ M1319f printer.

Please guide me how to extract msi file from installer

Hi naveen-2014,

To extract the Scanto.msi file, I have included the steps below for you.

1.  Press the Windows key and letter R on the keyboard
2. Type %temp%
3. Click OK
4. Open the 7z folder
5. Open the Setup folder
6. Open the Scan folder
7. Run the Scan installer

Please let me know if this works. 🙂

I have a LaserJet M1319f and installed in on a new laptop Windows 8.1, 64bit.

I figured out that, as in a previous case, it offeres only 4 options for the file format when scanning.

The essential type I need is .pdf. and I do not have it.

I cannot see in programs the HP drivers.

I tried HP Print and Scan Doctor and when runnig the one for the scanner, at the 4th out of the 6th components, I have the following message: "This tool was unable to find the HP Scan application software on your computer. ....I downsload the drivers again from http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4158&lc=en&cc=uk&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=3547... nothing changes.

How could I solve this problem?

Hello tatianad,

The reason as to why the HP Print and Scan Doctor could not find the scan application software, is because the drivers that you can download, and install from the HP website are plug, and play drivers only. Meaning that you are only using the basic print, and scan drivers that are built into your computer.

To clarify that you are able to use the built in drivers, from you apps screen, you should see an option for scan. Are you able to scan from this app?

Also due to the fact that you are only using the basic scan drivers, unfortunately you will not get the option for PDF.

Regards. 🙂
