I have a LaserJet Pro M1536dnf that is used as a stand alone fax machine.  When we try to send a fax, the document is scanned but instead of sending the fax, it says Fax Job Added.  When you check the status of the fax machine it says nothing is stored and the fax is never sent.  I updated the firmware to the latest one and it worked for a little bit but now it is not sending out faxes again.  It will receive faxes without any problems and can copy documents as well.  Is there anything else i can do to try to fix this problem.  I went through all the troubleshooting steps that was listed on the website.

Appreciate the help!

Hi jloo,

Does this happen from both the ADF and the scanner glass?

What type of phone line are you using (analog or Digital)?

Follow the steps in the document below.

Cannot Send or Receive Faxes

Hi Sparrk,

Thanks for the steps. I had already tried most of those but I did it again anyway. Nothing Changed.

It receives faxes just fine every time and passes all 4 tests on the fax test page. But no matter what I try when sending it always says Fax job Added. It never even tries to dial.

Any other Ideas would be of great help.

I'm comfortable taking apart the printer if needed.

Thanks
