Hi,
My M127fn also kept initializing. I have tried the following but so far cannot resolve the issue:-
1. Power off unplug 60 secs.
2. Plug printer into its own wall socket.
3. Press Cancel-Right arrow-Power to get to Permanent init.
4. Remove cartridge and power up. Printer does not ask for cartridge. Just initializing.
What else should I try?

This printer of mine has been flawless for 16 months. Today it started doing this (and a bunch of other) strange behavior.
I turned off ipv6 as suggested. This seems to have totally solved the problem. Printer back to normal!
Thanks!!! .... but...
I'd sure love a little explanation. Why would this suddenly become a problem? Why did turning off ipv6 fix it?
I had done a little research looking for an answer and just about given up when I found this solution on this board.
I came "" this close to ordering a new Brother laser printer. Frustrating that something this simple almost caused me to never buy another hp printer. How many perfectly good tech products are in the landfills because of things like this?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide in understanding.

Hi, having the same problem here.
I understand that disabling the IPv6, is the solution. BUT my issu is that since my printer is stuck in "inniciating", i CANT get to the printer's MENU, nor cant access any features of the menu....
help!

Yeah. I had the same problem. But I tried getting to the menu before it got to that point and finally got a few seconds to do the fix. You have to be quick and know where you're going in the menus so it might take a few tries. Can't remember if I disconnected the LAN cable or not but seems like it would make sense to do that until you can get the menu up and the ipv6 turned off.

That seem to be rather hard cause when i turn it on, the printer inmediatly shows the initializing screen, it gives me no chance to access to the menu or any other option.
is there a hard reset or a combination of pressing some keys to get this done?
