The output is misaligned and slanted, with part of the page getting out of the print area.

When printing double side, the front page is misaligned but the back page is normal.

When copying to double side, similar result - front page is misaligned but back page is normal.

Hey,

If the printer is having alignment issue of this nature, then it is possible that it is a hardware issue with the feed mechanism internally.  However, there is a document that covers troubleshooting print quality issues in the Laserjet M1536dnf.  Click here to access the document.

Follow the steps and let me know the outcome.

Hey Jason_H:

Thanks for your inputs.

Unfortunately, the hyperlink you provided for troubleshooting print quality issues in the Laserjet M1536dnf does not include print misalignment.

In my particular case, the paper is set firmly and the feed guides are against the paper edge in my Laserjet 1536dnf yet the print axis is not perpendicular to the right edge of the printed page in portrait mode.   I am hesitant to take my printer to an HP site for repair as they charge an arm and a leg when a fingerprint will do.
