Laserjet M401dn doesn't wake up

I'm having the same issue with several M401n in our envorment. The ones running firmware 20130415 have the ability to turn off the ecoSMART settings but once you flash it with the latest firmware  20131214 you loose the ability to turn off ecoSMART and instead only have 5, 15, 30 minutes or an hour to set for the sleep auto off. I'm attempting to locate the old firmware to flash the printers back to in order to turn off the ecoSMART settings. So if anyone has M401_Series_FW_Update-20130415.exe I would appreciate it.

As stated previously, support for this specific issue reported should be directed to HP Support for your region.

This error has been going on for two years. I have the same issue with the "exact" same configuration. But no response from HP. After two years when can a resolution be expected.

Mine doesn't wake either, just bought the printer (8 September 2014), not via USB-connection or via LAN!

What should be done?

Have you tried updating to the latest firmware 20140521? It is available from HP.com. If not there is a fix in there a sleep/wake issue. Please let us know if it helps. Thank you.

Don’t even try to use FW 20140521, problem with waking up haven't been solved in this FW, also now there is no way to downgrade from this FW...

Same situation here; upgraded to latest firmware, cabled ethernet connection with static IP.

I have also tried to ping every two minutes  Printer static IP Address (with an automated script) without success...

Printer goes in sleep mode after an hour (highest setting for sleep mode) and then the only way to get it back to work is manually power off and on again.

Any suggestion?

Same problem. Bought the printer 2 weeks ago to replace our Laserjet4000.

My screen will wake up and the boxes for 'wake on' are all ticked but the job will not print until I turn the printer off then on again.

I have the exact same problems on my M425dn.  Occasionally doesn't wake up to print jobs, other times the screen is unresponsive to touch, EXACTLY like the video above.  This printer replaces my decade old LaserJet 2100 that has been bullet proof.  Nothing but problems with the M425dn.
