Well that takes the transfer belt out of the equation.  Still could be a high voltage issue, dc controller or even formatter issue.

Do you know if the CP2025's share a lot of parts with these? They physically look the same.

They are both the same engine design but to be honest I think the parts that can cause your issue are all different part numbers.

Parts are fairly plentiful. If you were going to start throwing parts at it, In what order would you try them?

Since you say this started after a firmware update and you do get the solid magenta page with the contacts covered I would first replace the formatter.
