My Laserjet P1102w is making a loud clicking noise and will not print.  I have repeatedly removed and replaced the toner cartridge and checked for any foreign object inside printer - no change.  Still very loud clicking.  Printer is almost 2 years old.  Toner cartridge is fairly new, printer is out of warranty.

I understand the frustration that you're experiencing. It sounds like there is a hardware problem. I noticed that you had checked for obstructions and removed and reseated the toners.

In order for me to assist you better, I may require more information.

What is the error message you're receiving?

Please try to determine where the noise occurs (i.e., during power up, only while printing, during page output, during scanning, copying from ADF etc.).

In the meantime. please try the steps within this guide:

If you completed all the preceding steps and your product still has an issue, service the product.

Unfortunately, none of the suggestions worked and the printer is out of warranty.  I have owned probably close to 10-12 HP printers and all of them (with the exception of our workhorse Laser Jet 2420) seem to quit in less than 1-2 years, each with a completely different issue!  Maybe it's time to switch brands!
