I was updating firmware from the hp update page.  received the currupt ready 2 download on printer screen and it remains there now. I will try your solution but my computer repair guy has printer and has probably tried it as he has more sources available to him than we do.  i will get it bak tomorrow and coninue to try.  Thanks for your suggestions.  It is a 1536mfp fyi not the m1212 that leads off this thread.

hi.

1.  Went to;

 http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?

During installation printer displayed:  "firmware corrupt ready 2 download"...... and it still does.

2.  hp laserjet dnf 1536 mfp

3.  Windows 7 Premium with most recent updates and service packs (not at the pc now).

4.  USB and hardwired network.

5. See paragraph 1.  Don't have printer at moment but do not recall any flashing light but I believe there was a solid yellow ight on.

Sincerely hope you have the solution.  Thanks for replying.
