When I try to copy on cardstock, it sounds like its printing but the page just has some black lines on it.  when trying to print pictures on 4x6 paper, I only get about an inch of the picture.

Hi @Linda531,

Welcome to the HP Support Forums!

I see that you're unable to print on card stock or photos on your HP ENVY 5530 e-All-in-One Printer. I would be happy to help.

I understand the frustration that you're experiencing. It sounds like there could be an issue with the pick roller or the print settings/driver.

Are you able to print on regular paper?
Try to print a self-test page:
  1. Printing Self-Test Pages
  2. What were the results?
When printing on photo paper and card stock are you selecting the correct paper type/size?
  1. Please review the supported paper types and sizes: (plain, inkjet, photo) for your for HP ENVY 5530 Printer. Please use supported paper for best results.

Use this guide to make sure that you're loading the paper correctly and selecting the correct print settings:

If you're able to print the self-test page, there could be a problem with the print driver.

To confirm that you're using the correct print driver. Please download and run the  Print and Scan Doctor, it will likely diagnose and resolve the issue you are experiencing.
What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor (did it print or scan, any error messages)?

If you're unable to print the test page or still experience problems with printing on photo and card stock. Follow the steps within this guide 'Paper Jam', to find any obstruction and clean the paper rollers.
If you completed all the preceding steps and your product still has an issue, service the product.

Contacting HP for service in all countries/regions except Asia Pacific.
First, go to Check your product warranty to check your printer warranty status, and then go to Contact HP Support to find an authorized service dealer or to schedule a repair.
