HP DESKJET 2540
Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks

Hi,

I use a MacBook Pro, OS X 10.9

I have a HP DESKJET 2540 printer

I have just installed a new network at my place. I try to connect my printer wirelessly via WIFI to this new network.

BUT the printer keeps on connecting to the previous network, which is a open access network (FreeWIFI)

I have tried EVERYTHING . I have pressed simultaneously the Wirelss button and the Start Copy Black button. The wirelss test report shows that my printer is currently still connected to the previous SSID

Please help!

tx

Hi @JACE1,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that your HP Deskjet 2540 keeps connecting to the wrong wireless network. I am happy to look into this connectivity issue for you!

On the wireless test report, should be an IP Address for the printer. Try putting this IP Address into a web browser, such as: Safari, or Firefox, etc. You should see an Embedded Web Server. Look for the Network tab and select it. Then look for the Wireless Setup Wizard option. (This should be able to search for the proper wireless network for you.)

See page 55 of your printer's User Guide, for more details.

Hope this resolves your issue, and have a nice day! :generic:
