I finally got the scan to PC to work, which makes the USB flash drive unneccesary, but it still doesn't work.  The scan to USB was why I got this model.

The printer hangs, it goes to the point of scanning and the document feeder doesn't feed or even sound like it is on.

I know the document feeder works - it scanned to my PC.  I am connected to PC via USB port on the back of printer and the back of computer.  I can't get it to go through my wireless (which is on because I have instant ink).

I tried cancelling the scan, and after more than 10 minutes, it still says cancelling scan on the printer window.

I have rebooted several times, had to unplug the printer from the back.  Still does the same thing.

Yesterday, I had to run home to scan something important because I couldn't get the scan to USB to work.

So I am up to date with software.  I have the FULL software.  The scan to PC seems to be working.  Now how do I get scan to USB to work?

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

Can you try to format your USB to Fat32 File system and then try to scan to USB again?

Thanks.

HI,

Just do a format check to find out.

Hope that helps!

Hi @Congole

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

If you are facing the same issue after getting the new printer, please do a check on the format of the SD card to ensure that it is Fat32 (or Fat) file system.

Hope that helps!
