HP ENVY Photo 7855 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Printer will not work with 5g.  Will there be software update?

No, because 2,4 GHz wireless and 5GHz wireless have differences in hardware.

So, if I understand correctly HP makes printers designed to run ONLY on 2.4g but doesn't make that clear in the paperwork - so that all of us with blended band modem-router combos are pretty much hosed?  I have a security camera like that, and the company said it was basically useless with the newer systems.  May that explains why every day or two I have to delete and reinstall my 7855 from my two HP Ai1's.

HP produces both single band printers ( 2,4GHz) and dual band printers (2,4GHz and 5GHz ) it's described in the printers specification for each model on the market.

Great.  Something else to worry about when shopping for printers.  Ah, well - c'est la vie.  Thanks!
