Hi @BALTAR1

Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that your HP Deskjet 2050 printer is taking a long time to cancel a document. I am happy to help!

What Operating System are you using, Windows, or Mac? What version? http://www.whatsmyos.com

In the meantime, please try a hard reset, by following the steps in this post, How to perform a Hard Reset, by @Rich1. It is important that the printer's power cable is plugged directly into the wall outlet, and not a surge protector.
