I have a hp photosmart 7510 printer and I am trying to print out 8x10 art prints on 8x10 hp premium photo paper. I have the set up printer proporties to print out on hp premuim photo paper, I set the paper size to 8x10 and then I press on the 8x10 icon on the print perview right before printing. I also sized all my art work to 8x10. Now when I print out my prints they print out with large white borders on one of it sides and on the bottom. The other sizes are fine. I dont know what else to do. I want to have it where my art prints out on to the whole paper and when I try printing without borders its all the same just larger. I need help fast for I have to have them print out for an event. Please someone help me!

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read your thread on your HP Photosmart 7510 e-All-in-One Printer and not being able to print on 8 x 10 photos the way you want. I was wondering what program you are using to print the photos from? Did you install the printer software? It should give you an option to print 8 x 10 photos portrait style with borderless option. I was able to do this from my printer in paint.
From the File menu in your software, click Print . The Print window opens.
Click Properties . Select your settings in the Layout tab.
Click the Paper/Quality tab, and then select your settings.
From the Size drop-down list, select the size of paper being used.
Please let me know.
Thanks.

Here is a step by step of what I do to print. I have all my prints saved on my desktop. I right click on a saved image and I go to print. It then opens up PRINT PICTURES box. On there it show a PREVIEW of my print with PRINTER OPTION, PAPER SIZE, QUALITY, PAPER TYPE, NUMBER OF COPIES, option for FIT PICTURE TO FRAME along with option on the side for FULL PAGE PHOTO, 4x6in., 8x10in., WALLET, and CONTACT SHEET. I have the right printer for printer option. paper size is set for 8x10. Quality is set to normal. Paper type is set to HP Advanced Photo Paper and my preview looks right. I have the option checked for fit picture to frame. I then click on 8x10in or even full page photo on the side and I then press print. Now paper is already loaded to the printer before hand. Now I haven't tried going into the actually program that I used for creating my prints, but I will try that. The program I use is gimp. I am working on windows 8. I do have the printer software installed.
When it printers its looks like this I am trying to get it where it prints on the whole 8x10 photo paper.

Okay I have went into the program (Gimp) where the prints where created. I have tried printing the prints out and although it shows less white borders it still isn't right. I really don't know what I am doing wrong. I never thought printing out an 8x10 on 8x10 paper would be so hard. Please someone help.
Printing for the program where I created the prints.

Okay I have tried it off of program Paint. I must say it had worked. I am thankful that you were able to help. I dont understand why it worked with Paint but not desktop right click on image and click print. If there is away to fix that that it would be great, but as of for now I guess I can just use Paint. I thank you again for the help.
Printing with the program Paint. So much better.
Still wondering why it wont do this when I right click on the image that is placed on my desktop and click on print. If any help with that I would still like to know how to fix that. Thank you!

Hi @Mell1,
Thanks for reaching out to the HP Support Forums for a solution to your printing issue.
I understand that when you try to print on 8"x10" paper your printer prints on 5"x7" paper instead. I would like to help.
This sounds like it could be a settings issue, or possibly a software issue.
What printer model do you have. This can help if unsure - How Do I Find My Model or Printer Number?
What operating system is your computer running?
I will watch for your reply so I can assist you further. Please reply at your convenience.
Thanks!
